Prayer

Prayer, verbal, verbally silent, silent

formal, informal

spontaneous, desperate

is still prayer

where man meets God

sometimes only from the head

at times, deeply

from the depths of his heart

or balanced in-between

the prayers go

from man to our Creator

individuals, groups, congregations

asking in Jesus' name

for their personal needs

and through the prayer of intercession

for the needs of others

for Christ on the Cross

did the same

and calls us to be

not a silent people, rather

a praying people

for prayer changes the world

changes others

best of all

it changes me

so my heart cannot keep silent!
