Toe Prints

Toe prints in the water
making ripples
not capable
of making waves
blurring
the reflection
of a woman sitting
alone
thinking of love
of life
her past
the current life
and of
what might possibly be
a future romance
of him
whose presence
graced this very pier
but the reflection
though locked in her heart
is blurred
in memory's mind
by the ripples
of toe prints in the water.

Reflections..I see my todays and my tomorrows
Some filled with joy and peace...some bringing sorrow
Loving words spoken are like ripples on the water's surface
moving...stirring...as if from a raindrop....
radiating outward, spreading love without stop
Cruel words spread...bringing pain to me and to you.
Their sad reflections live on in us too...
So let us choose carefully the words we use...
For in the end we will win...or we will lose.
