Why do I love you?

because

you're lovable

and I know that you too

love me

it is something I feel

rather than see

something that is

rather

than something yet to be

it is more

than a simple desire

for passion

it is a desire for yourself

to love and cherish

to blend

each body and soul

into the other

if I may be rather bold

it is to love

as neither as ever

loved before

to go

where rivers of passion flow

to fill each other

with part

of our own self

to write our names

not just in the beach's sand

but in our hearts

man to woman, woman to man

for these things and more
