A Lazy Summer Evening

It was a lazy summer evening
the stars overhead
ran in their courses
the heat
from the day
mixing and blending
with the cooler
night air
as she waits
as many a woman
has waited
for her special man
her blouse
open at the back
for comfort's own sake
her eyes looking
forward
for his coming
for love's tender sake
a woman ready
to mix and to blend
with her man
on a lazy summer evening.

As She Waits

Under the stars she stands
an open back
with her skirt grazing
the tops
of the blades of grass
as the stars
looked down from the sky
and points far away
are riveted by her steady gaze
is it a lover
who might chance to cross
the great expanse
into her
waiting arms
and to find again
her tender lips
to run his hand down
the smooth flesh
of her back
to enjoy the love
that is reflected by stars
the moon overhead
for with her
there is
nothing that life may lack

I Am Here

I am here...waiting.... alone
thoughts of you on my mind..
remembering your passionate kiss
your velvet smooth voice
and the way you say my name
sending tingles along my spine
longing for your touch
and your love....so fine
You speak loving words in my ear
Embracing me gently.. holding me near
Waiting for you..so hard to do
But soon, my love..you will come
and our dreams will be true

For Himself I Wait

Over the mountains
and the trees
Your laughter calls out to me
And if I close my eyes
Surely I can see
Eyes of blue
smiling back at me
The bluest blue
you've ever seen
makes me wish
for his love so true
A smile so bright
It brings forth light
into the darkened
places of one's soul
It makes the sorrows disappear
Even when you
can't be here
Just knowing that
in my heart, you're near
And there's nothing left
for me to fear...
