Longing...
There is a longing in every life
A feeling of great desire
We would be free now
from every strife
If we fanned the flames of
love's great fire
But too often we grow cold
and to indifference... we fall
Can love's flame return to
those who have ignored the call?
Who have allowed this great
chill within our soul....?
I do not have the answers
but this much I do know
There is only One love
that can ever make us whole
And while we cling fast to that
for which we have desire
It is only His great love
that can really ignite the fire
A fire that burns deeply
and cannot be contained
no matter the attacks against it
It will never be refrained
from speaking His great mercies
His grace, His peace, His love
His longing to pour out blessings
in showers from above
And if we will but listen
we can hear love's great call
as it extends the invitation
of forgiveness to one and all
Transcending across time
Let us each count the cost
echoing from the past the day
they nailed Him to the cross.

On Eagle's Wings
On eagle's wings may you
soar to new heights
of grandeur
the magnificence of living
above the woes
the strife of this life
where people
give not
for they prefer to be taking
for there
in that rarefied air
we find
the loving, tender care
that each needs
yet few
seem to find
for when we are there
we find
that there is God
and even here
when we allow His presence
to bubble up
as from deep within
that God
Himself, our Lord
is with us
far below
where the eagles soar
yet our living
seem to match their heights
when to God we are true.

God Has A Place
It is said He has a place
for every part
of His planned creation
a pathway
for rivers and stars
heights for the mountains
depths for valleys
measured miles for the plains
but what of you and I?
when His pathway we defy
cutting ourselves off
or being cut off in life
so that the pathway
we no longer can tread
does His plan stop?
are we better off dead?
Nay and No
though we may move
to a different place
for He is Creator of the then
more-so of the now
and He will find us a new path
and show us the "how"
moving on
perhaps at a different pace
as we find ourselves
in His will made complete
for when our hand and heart
are in His
we will never know
full defeat
so listen to His call
you members of the human race.
