Softly...I come to you

For I know your love can satisfy

Reaching through my darkest hours

Bringing light into my life

Your gentle touch, your loving words

They touch this soul of mine

Your kisses tender and so gentle

Sweeter than the sweetest wine

Your love is all I ever needed

It's what my heart was looking for

You meet my deepest, longing needs

That and so much more

If I could...I surely would

Offer you.... all of me

With hopes that my love in return

Would be all you ever need.

Breath of a Kiss

I felt the breath of the kiss

though her lips

were far

so very far away

yet they spoke of passion

of sensations

that traversed time

and space

and invaded

the depths of my heart

so much

that the desire

to hold her

made my arms ache

and the thought

of this

brought a tingling

from the top of my head

to the very ends

of my toes

an emotion not simply fine

but one as if mandated

by Himself

who is of course divine

all this goodness

from the breath of a kiss.

When Your Lips Touched

You think your lips touched mine

but that's only in fact

a partial truth

for your sweet lips

touched

to the depths of my heart

conveying

not simply passion's plea

but love's desire

that brings to fullness

and completeness

the hope that will inspire

each of us

to seek the other's good

to care

with tender faithfulness

to needs

some of which

the other may be ignorant

or unsure

for when love is real

it is not

for the moment alone

but for a lifetime

and when

lips touch more than lips

and penetrate

to the depths of the heart

then you have love

and this is a wonder so very fine.
